Strange Coupling IX Opening Reception at Vermillion

See the collaborative work of this year's Strange Couples at the opening reception of Strange Coupling IX during Captiol Hill's second Thursday art walk at Vermillion. The show runs from April 4th to April 23rd. Selected works will be silent auctioned at the reception on April 14th, with bidding promptly ending at 8:00 (cash or check only, please).

Student artists and established artists met and mingled last week at the coupling party, kindly hosted by TARL. Each pair has until the group show in April to make some collaborative art.

Auction/Kick-Off Party Rocked!

The Strange Coupling 2011 Auction/Kick-Off Party rocked, thanks to the help of all the artists, students, and faculty that showed up, donated art, bought art, and helped out. We had a ton of student applicants—which is awesome—and we'll announce the Strange Couples in the next two weeks!

Come along to the STRANGE COUPLING KICK-OFF PARTY/FUNDRAISER AUCTION on Jan the 13th 6:30 - 8:30 PM!

The silent auction starts promptly when doors open and closes at 8:00 PM sharp.

There will be amazing deals on art, great music and ample refreshments for all! $5 at the door.

Application is live!

The online application is live, and it's due January 13th!

TO APPLY:
1. Fill out the online application.
2. Upload 5 to 8 images of your work through the image submission page.
3. Donate one piece of artwork for the auction fundraiser (details below) OR volunteer at the Jan. 13 auction (let us know your availability here).

To donate art, drop off one piece of art on:
Wednesday, Jan 12 from noon-4:00 at Rm 125, Art Bldg OR Thursday, Jan 13 from noon-4:00 at the CMA North Gallery

To participate you MUST:
1. Be a current UW undergraduate or graduate student.
2. Donate work to or volunteer at this year’s Strange Coupling Fundraiser Auction/Kick-Off Party
